This Privacy Policy explains how 72mn LLC ("72mn," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use NoteOnly, our note-taking, capture, transcription, and writing-assistance app.
Short Version
- NoteOnly is designed for personal notes and capture. Your notes, recordings, attachments, reminders, and related app data are primarily stored on your device.
- If you enable Apple iCloud features, some app data may sync through your private iCloud account using Apple services.
- If you use AI, transcription, cleanup, summarization, or similar online features, the content needed for that request may be sent to app servers and/or third-party providers for processing.
- NoteOnly does not store your notes, recordings, or memos as a permanent server-side note database unless a specific feature clearly says otherwise.
- Temporary processing systems may hold request input, audio, transcripts, generated text, logs, or job status long enough to provide the feature, troubleshoot, protect the service, or comply with law.
- We do not intentionally use your personal notes, recordings, transcripts, or attachments to train foundation AI models.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use personal content for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- NoteOnly is not directed to children under 13.
- You can delete local content in the app, manage iCloud copies through your Apple account and device settings, and contact us about account or privacy requests.
Information the App Handles
Content You Create
NoteOnly may handle information you create, import, record, or attach in the app, including:
- notes, text, titles, lists, and edits;
- voice recordings, audio snippets, transcripts, and transcription corrections;
- images, files, links, and other attachments;
- reminders, timestamps, notebooks, pins, organization metadata, and app settings;
- AI prompts, cleanup instructions, summaries, generated text, and related outputs.
AI, Transcription, and Creation Requests
If you use features such as transcription, AI cleanup, rewriting, summarization, extraction, or other assisted creation features, NoteOnly may process the content you submit for that feature. Depending on the feature, this may include note text, audio, transcripts, attachments, instructions, and generated output.
These requests may be processed locally, by app servers, and/or by third-party providers. The app may temporarily store request data, intermediate results, final results, and job status until the app collects the result, the job expires, or the data is deleted under our retention practices.
Account and Sign-In Information
If NoteOnly offers account sign-in, purchase restoration, or subscription entitlement features, we may handle account identifiers, authentication tokens, subscription status, entitlement records, and basic support metadata. If you sign in with Apple, Apple may provide an identifier and, depending on your choices, your name or relay email address.
Purchases, Subscriptions, and Credits
Purchases and subscriptions made through Apple are processed by Apple. We may receive information from Apple or our systems that confirms your product, subscription status, renewal state, trial eligibility, cancellation state, refund state, or entitlement access. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.
Diagnostics and Operations
NoteOnly may collect limited diagnostics and operational information, such as crash reports, error logs, app version, device type, operating system version, feature performance, server request status, and abuse-prevention signals. We use this information to keep the app reliable, secure, and supportable.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
NoteOnly is not designed to intentionally collect sensitive government identifiers, precise location, health records, financial account numbers, or contact lists unless a future feature clearly asks for that information and you choose to provide it.
How Information Is Used
We use information to:
- provide, maintain, and improve NoteOnly;
- save, organize, search, export, sync, and delete your content;
- record audio, generate transcripts, and process voice notes when you use those features;
- provide AI, cleanup, summarization, extraction, formatting, and writing-assistance features;
- manage accounts, sign-in, subscriptions, purchases, credits, entitlements, and support requests;
- send app notifications or reminders when you enable them;
- diagnose crashes, fix bugs, secure the service, prevent abuse, and understand reliability;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our User Terms.
Where Information Is Stored
On Your Device
Notes, app settings, local files, recordings, attachments, reminders, transcripts, and generated output may be stored on your device. Local content may also be included in device backups depending on your Apple settings.
Apple and iCloud
If NoteOnly uses Apple iCloud or CloudKit and you enable those features, app data may sync through your private iCloud account. Apple controls the iCloud service and related account systems. You can manage iCloud settings, backups, and deletion through your Apple account and device settings.
App Servers
NoteOnly may use app servers to support accounts, subscriptions, entitlements, purchase validation, temporary processing jobs, AI or transcription requests, diagnostics, security, and customer support. Unless a feature clearly says otherwise, we do not store your notes, recordings, transcripts, or memos as a permanent server-side note database.
Third-Party Providers
We may use service providers for hosting, infrastructure, AI processing, transcription, diagnostics, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, email, subscription validation, and security. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
When Information Is Shared
We may share information:
- with service providers that help us operate NoteOnly;
- with Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, iCloud, device features, notifications, and Sign in with Apple;
- with AI or transcription providers when you use features that require off-device processing;
- with professional advisors, auditors, insurers, or legal representatives;
- with authorities or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, security, fraud prevention, or protection of rights;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business event;
- when you direct us to share information or give us consent.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use personal content for cross-context behavioral advertising.
User Choices
Permissions
You can control app permissions such as microphone, speech recognition, notifications, photos, and files through your device settings. Some features may not work if the related permission is disabled.
iCloud
You can manage iCloud availability, sync, backups, and account-level copies through Apple settings. Deleting local app data may not automatically delete every iCloud copy, backup, cached copy, or Apple-controlled record.
Export
If NoteOnly provides export features, you can use them to export supported content from the app. Exported files are your responsibility once saved, shared, or uploaded elsewhere.
Deletion
You can delete notes and other app content using in-app deletion features where available. You can also delete the app from your device. If account deletion is available, you can use the in-app account deletion flow or contact us at contact@noteonly.ai.
Subscriptions
You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
Deletion and Retention
Local content may remain on your device until you delete it, delete the app, erase the device, or change device backup and sync settings.
Temporary server-side processing data is generally kept only as long as needed to complete the request, make the result available to the app, maintain security, troubleshoot failures, enforce limits, or comply with law. Diagnostic, billing, entitlement, tax, security, and legal records may be retained longer where necessary.
Deletion requests may not remove information that is controlled by Apple, already exported by you, stored in your device backups, retained by third-party providers under their own legal obligations, or required for legal, tax, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or appeal a privacy decision.
Residents of California and other US states may have rights under applicable state privacy laws. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and similar regions may have additional rights under applicable data protection laws.
To make a request, contact us at contact@noteonly.ai. We may need to verify your request before responding.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No app, device, network, server, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
NoteOnly is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at contact@noteonly.ai so we can take appropriate action.
International Use
72mn LLC is based in the United States. If you use NoteOnly from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as appropriate.
